Trying to find the hotel
Michael insanely trusted me to know where to hotel is.. he would normally get a taxi everywhere but I wanted to do it local style..but hadnt got a map of where our hotel might be!! LOl!! so there we were suitcases in hand exploring the MRT and trying to find the hotel! Scary but fun.. oh how I love the adrenalin!!

Thinking of You Kate
Just wanted to send my hugs and condolences to Kate and her mum and her dad died this week I wish I was there to give them both hugs. No warning.. no preparation just gone.. and 4 years younger than my dad.. life is too short.
I am feeling better however.. hence being back on my blog.. I had been feeling crappy for months.. the first time I went to the drs the "nice dr" informed me i was feelign crap because I was english and cant cope with the weather here.. hmnn thanks! well that was a waste of money... however a week later after having not kept any food down for a week and still feeling shocking I went to a different doctor who did blood tests and everything else.. it came back as rotavirus AND glandular fever.. double whammy!! funnily enough i have felt much better since then.. I now know why i feel so tired all the time and stuff anf let myself off and go to bed early rather than sulking about ehy i feel so tired!
It is the darwin/nt winter at the moment.. the coollest months of the year are june, July and august and then in september it starts warming up again.. It is highly amusing as locals are dreesed up in jumpers and boots and stuff and complain of being cold.. tourists are running around in bikinis!! It was 37 degrees yesterday in Katherine.. and this is our winter..!
So I spent the weekend in katherine as usual.. Michael's job is coming along well now.. it will all be wrapped up and done and duted before we go which is of course what he wants.. this is because he has been working 7 days straight for weeks and is now completely exhausted.. poor boy.. he's gonna need this holiday!!
Works been hard lately.. we have an amazing turnover of staff losing 1 or 2 people a week.. finding decent staff is even harder.. I was on my own at the centre Friday night as people snuck out early and then this morning till 7:30am till anyone else bothered to show up.. I wasnt even meant to start till 7:30am but happened to be there early at 7am.. so the 7am starters and 7:15am starters didnt make it in.. then we had an inspector come a bit later in to see the place.. he said "So um who else is with you in your room?" I said "Just me" he said um wheres the nappy change area.. I said oh two rooms away shared with 35 other kids.. cant wait for that report! We seem to get inspected every bloody week..

Our first pet
We are rearing a baby lorikeet (who is bloody noisy)!! he fell out the nest and we are looking after him!!
Greek Glenti
there is a huge population of greeks in darwin.. so there is a weekend of celbrations where we get to try all things greek and there is lots of greek dancing and food!! i am so excited about going to kalymnos!!
Michael's first try of yorkshire Puddings
Michael hadnt ever had yorkshire puddings and I have been meaning to make them for ages.. he cooked a roast beef and i cooked some yorkies.. he wasnt sure what to make of them I dont think!!
